Putting the “document” in documentary, this film delves into the story behind the controversial written account authored by a Mexican citizen who may or may not have witnessed, first hand, the death of Davy Crockett at the Alamo. Historians clash over its authenticity. Our filmmakers wonder: is the myth of the Alamo made up of everything the storybooks brought us up to believe?
